Project description:
The National Library of Republic of Macedonia announced a tender for translation and printing services of 42 books written by the eminent world writers.
The main objective of the project was to provide to the Macedonian readers quality translations of the capital literary works, and thus enrich the language and create a sort of a base for the Macedonian literary language.
Initially, we had to contact the holders of the copyrights for the titles that are subject to copyright protection, and sign contracts. During this phase we also had to sign contracts with the local involved parties, such are the selected translators, proof-readers, editors and writers of prologues.
The second phase included translation into Macedonian and proofreading of the books.
Upon the completion, the translation was sent to the Board of Editors, appointed by the National Library, for quality check.
Then, the translation was subject to second reading by the translator and proofreading, in order to obtain highest quality.
After the finalisation and approval of the quality, by the Board of Editors and the National Library, the titles were printed.

Project description:
Integration into the European Union is one of the main goals of the Republic of Macedonia. In pursuing this goal, the Republic of Macedonia is included into the Stabilization and Association Process, designed by the European Union for the countries of the region of Western Balkans. One of the main preconditions for next steps in this process is approximation of legislation of Republic of Macedonia with that of the European Community. This process is based on knowledge and understanding of different Community acts of primary and secondary law, which creates a need for translation of Community rules into Macedonian language, as well as their expert and legal revision and linguistic editing. On the other hand, domestic legal acts need to be translated to English to be made available to the EU experts. These are two interrelated processes which need to be approached in a coordinated manner.

ORF – Project: CEFTA 2006 Improving opportunities for trade

Since early 2007 South East European countries, which are not yet EU-Member states are signatories to the single Central European Free Trade agreement (CEFTA). CEFTA is taking actions towards trade liberalisation in the area of non-tariff barriers.


Project objectives:
The overall objectives of the project were:

  • Establishment of a dynamic web-portal the so called CEFTA Trade Portal to ensure a user friendly dissemination of all CEFTA related information needed by the business community. This portal aimed at increasing the knowledge of the economic operators trading within the CEFTA area in respect to the detailed provisions deriving from this agreement, trade/customs procedures and regulations, as well as the acquaintance with the relevant EU legislation to be adopted by CEFTA parties for the benefit of the successful implementation of the agreement.

 

Specific objectives

  • Establishment of a bi-lingual portal where each CEFTA party will have its own country page where all the information to be released on-line will be both in local and English language.

Project description:
Within the creation of better climate for access in the European Union, the Republic of Macedonia pays special attention and undertakes concrete steps for finding mechanisms directed at increasing the economic growth of the country and improvement of the employment through attracting foreign investments.


In order to achieve this objective, it is necessary to provide conditions for better efficiency of the judicial system when exiting the market of the legal entities formed during certain activity, but did not succeed on the market.


In that line, it is necessary to create conditions for strengthening and raising a higher level of the system for judicial protection of the concerns of the bankruptcy procedure creditors. This creates conditions for faster allocation of the property of a debtor who did not succeed on the market and its reactivating, as well as faster and higher acquitance of their receivables in the bankruptcy procedure.

 

Project objectives:
The main objective of these Terms of Reference is support to the administrative and operational capacities of the Chamber of Bankrputcy Trustees. The conduction of advanced trainings for specialization of the total number of licensed bankruptcy trustees within the Trustees Chamber will help to maintain and improve the judicial effectiveness while conducting the bankruptcy procedures.

  • Creating judicial and bankruptcy system providing efficient procedure for realizing the creditors' rights and payment of their receivables and realizing the legal interest of the debtor

Project objectives:

  • To increase knowledge of Albania's integration process and its implications, particularly among key target groups;
  • Increase general understanding of the EU, its policies and programmes among the population at large

 

Project purpose:

  • To increase knowledge of EU institutional framework, policies, objectives and priorities;
  • To increase knowledge on the relations between the EU and Albania;
  • To foster a better understanding of the impact of the preaccession process on one's own life and expectations;
  • To increase knowledge about the implementation of the IPA in the country;

 

Results to be achieved:

  • An EU Information Centre established and well managed in Shkodra and Vlora;
  • Support to the EU Delegation for the implementation of communication and implementation activities in Albania;
  • Information on the development of relations between the EU and Albanian provided to key target groups;
  • Tailor made information on the implementation of the IPA in the country disseminated amongst key target groups;
  • Synergies with multipliers and other interested parties on provision of EU information establishment;
  • EU information products (in print, audiovisual and electronic formats) delivered;
  • Events on EU related actions organised;
